Yoram Yasur Blume: Alopecia types treatments

Alopecia, popularly known as baldness, is the loss of hair, whether in the head or anywhere else in the body. It is, in most cases, a painless problem that is not serious from the point of view of health, but for many people it represents an aesthetic handicap, to the point where every person in a developed country Gets to spend, on average, up to 1,500 euros a year to combat this problem, according to data from Yale University. But are we throwing the money? Are there solutions for hair loss that are effective?

Products for alopecia:

From a shampoo that can have an accessible price, to thousands that can cost a hair transplant, the market is crowded with all kinds of products in relation to this problem, effective, although, Now, there is not yet an effective remedy at one hundred percent.

Yoram Yasur Blume: “Scientists are working in this field and have been able to develop therapeutic applications based on stem cells, which although the experts point out as the most promising, are only suitable for people who are beginning to lose hair, but not for those who already suffer an Advanced alopecia”. In addition, there are many other articles, therapies, creams and even elixirs that promise to cure baldness, but most only consider what is known as a miracle product, that is, something completely harmless that is far from achieving the results it promises.

Even so, baldness can be treated, prevented, and even delayed. Each case is different, so going to a dermatologist is the best option to set some custom guidelines. Knowing what type of alopecia is suffering and what therapeutic alternatives exist is key to finding the best option to obtain satisfactory results.

Treatments :

The treatment to use to try to remedy your problem of hair loss will depend on the type of baldness you suffer. Know the best solution for your alopecia:

– Androgenic or androgenetic alopecia: It refers to hereditary baldness, which mostly affects men, although in isolated cases can also be suffered by women. There are clinics that treat this type of alopecia with massage and electrostimulation of the blood irrigation in the scalp, and even with the application of ozone to oxygenate the hair root. However, because it is a hereditary problem, this therapy does not serve to prevent baldness, but to delay its development. The treatments and their prices vary depending on the center, but can range from 1,000 euros to 3,000 euros.

There are also drugs to deal with androgenic alopecia, although the only one that has yielded concrete results so far is finasteride, initially developed to treat prostate disease, but it was later discovered that, as a side effect, patients lost less hair And, in some cases, it was growing again. Since then, it is used to combat alopecia, although it can have several side effects, such as reduced sex drive or impotence. In addition, their results on hair are not definitive, so when you stop taking the drug, the baldness makes its appearance again.

– Alopecia areata: This type of baldness is identified by being areas, usually round, where the hair disappears in a localized way. Although there is no scientific consensus on the causes of alopecia areata, in some cases it is attributed to stress or infections. Yoram Yasur Blume: “The advantage of this type of alopecia is that it is usually reversible, since it does not destroy the root of the hair. Among the cons, it appears that once such cases occur, they often reappear with frequency. In these cases, the treatment will be indicated to combat the cause of alopecia, i.e., relaxants in case of muscle tension or antibiotics if it is an infection”.

– Traumatic alopecia: This is the loss of hair caused by bad hair care. It can be cases of poor hygiene, which causes the pores of the scalp to block, thus avoiding oxygenation and isolating the root; And even a problem with the hairstyle, as you can see cases of traumatic alopecia in people who are accustomed to pick up the hair very tightly, stressing the root by subjecting it to a constant pressure. Included in this section is trichotillomania, that is, a compulsive disorder that causes a person to systematically tear off the hair from the head or the beauty of some part of the body. In cases of traumatic alopecia, the only treatment is psychological and behavioral modification.

– Diffuse Alopecia: This term refers to total or partial hair loss caused by a chronic disease or by aggressive drug treatment. This type of alopecia usually disappears when the patient recovers from his illness or leaves the medication. However, the sudden loss of hair due to this cause usually has a much greater psychological impact than in the case of androgenic, especially in women. In these cases, as there is no treatment that reduces the fall, it is usually opt for cosmetic measures that mitigate the psychological effect, such as the use of wigs.

Yoram Yasur Blume: How to protect dark skin from the sun

  • Dark skin, although it does not seem like it, also can undergo the sun attacks and suffer the effects of prolonged exposure to it. Like clear skins, these also need some care that you should give, especially during the summer. Do you want to know what they are? So…Come with me!

Be careful with the components of your sun block:
Yoram Yasur Blume: “It is important that you read the ingredients that make up the sun block and keep in mind which one works for you and which does not. Always avoid products based on retinol or vitamin A, as they increase the risk of suffering damage to the skin”. This is mainly because the vitamin breaks down when it comes in contact with the sun and is more than likely to irritate your skin. Instead choose sunscreens containing zinc, titanium dioxide or avobenzone which are perfect for filtering ultra violet rays.

    Pay attention when applying;
It is necessary to take into account the frequency with which you must apply the sunscreen. In case you only take sun, with reinforcing the amount of sunscreen every two hours is more than enough. On the other hand, if you sweat a lot or bathe in the sea or pool frequently, it is preferable that you choose to replace the blocker because water and sweat remove the sunscreen it contains.

    Choose the most suitable:
It is best to choose a lotion or cream for your brown skin, because the sunscreens in spray are somewhat dangerous. This is mainly because the particles left in the air can be inhaled by you or by those around you and that will cause an inflammation in the lungs. It is also not important that your blocker is calcareous, since today these products are absorbed by the skin much faster than in previous years.

    Keep other healthy habits:
Yoram Yasur Blume: “In addition to using sunscreen to take care of your brown skin; you should keep in mind certain habits that you should practice daily, especially during the summer”. One of them is to use a hat or handkerchief, because your scalp is very sensitive to the attack of ultraviolet rays. In addition, it is necessary that you use a factor sunscreen suitable for both summer and winter.

How do you protect your brown skin from the sun? Do you have any other beauty secrets that you want to tell us?

Yoram Yasur Blume: Onychophagia

Yoram Yasur Blume | Although the saying says that the face is the mirror of the soul, many people assert that the hands are like a second mirror. Body language makes us move them to accompany what we say, much more in certain cultural ones that make it a sign of our own identity. That makes it so hard to hide our hands if, for some reason, we do not want to show them. For example, if we have onychophagia.

Behind this complicated word of Greek origin, ‘onychophagia’, hides a fact so daily that it is not strange to see someone around us, or maybe to ourselves, to do it daily: nail biting. It is a disorder that we should not give less importance to, espe-cially when the years go by and this habit persists.

Although it is difficult to give a precise estimate of the number of people with onychophagy, because it is a disorder that does not consult the doctor and therefore does not enter more official statistics, it is estimated that About 30% of children between the ages of 4 and 10 usually bite their nails.

“The origin of this habit is usually that of imita-tion, since in its environment there may be several people who bite their nails in the usual way”.

This bad habit, however, has the highest percentages during adolescence, as up to 50% of young people usually eat their nails, a figure that decreases after 18 years.

However, onychophagia does not disappear in adulthood; So much so that over 15% of the population over 18 maintains this ugly habit, although in some cases, it is only in a timely manner and when you go through some more complicated vital moments. In addition, in the adult stage the balance is clearly inclined towards the masculine side, since they are usually the ones who still conserve this bad habit when they grow older, while in children it is distributed to 50%.

For many people, onychophagia only has aesthetic consequences. In addition to seeing decayed and careless nails, nail biting can lead to cuticle injuries and deformation in nail growth, as they bite and break layers and grow unevenly.

However, aesthetic problems are not the only harm that can cause onychophagia. In this sense and united to it, we find peo-ple who suffer psychological distress, because their hands in general, and their nails, look in such poor condition. Presenting careless hands usually embarrasses people with onychophagy, a fact that can be increased if you are looking for a job, and is that the impact of disastrous nails can get to subtract many points to a good resume.

Onychophagia can also cause paronychia, an infection of bacterial origin. In principle, it is shown as swelling and redness in the skin around the nail, although if it becomes chronic, it can lead to more serious health problems.

Biting your nails can even involve jaw and tooth disorders, such as tooth or enamel wear due to the repetitive action of the bite. Therefore, if you have onychophagia, it is time to take it seriously and act to correct it.

Yoram Yasur Blume expert in treatments commentary:

“When it comes to a mild disorder, it is not necessary to give it much importance, especially in the infantile stage”. Although it is not enough to try to get the little ones to remove this mania, it is normal for them to stop biting their nails themselves. Much more worrying is onychalgia in the stages of obsessive-compulsive disorder that does require professional help.

Nevertheless, biting your nails is an ugly habit that, with a little patience and some tricks, can be eradicated. Remember, too, that getting rid of any bad habit is a career in the background.

So do not faint if you see that in the first few weeks you still want to stick your hands in your mouth and give you a banquet of nails.

Take note of these suggestions that will help you stop eating your nails and that the onychophagia is a memory of the past:

• When you get the urge to bite your nails,

Look for a quick and healthy substitute. For example, you can drink a sip of water or have a healthy snack or, if you do not have anything healthy to eat, try taking deep breaths or singing your favorite tune.

• When we put our hands in our mouths we can be facilitating the entrance to our body of harmful organisms. Keep your hands always very clean and, if you feel the urge to eat your nails, run to the bathroom; It may be that having you wash your hands will continually make you lose your appetite.

• If you prefer a home remedy

Rub the nails with garlic or chilli. The result is almost the same as with the pharmacy enamels but more economical.

• You can stick nail polish, either at home with the dozens of kits that exist, or go to a professional and choose the most suitable for you (gel, porcelain …). These false nails will cover your shattered nail and prevent you from coming back to it to bite it.

Hair follicle transplant in function of what Yoram Yasur has found.

Yoram Yasur Blume: Hair follicle transplant

Yoram Yasur Blume | The hair transplant is a surgical technique that allows to mobilize healthy hair from a donor area to another area that presents alopecia, i.e., baldness. To do this, local anesthesia is used and donor areas are chosen where alopecia has no effect, as in the nape of men. From this area, follicular units are extracted.

That is, hair follicles that may contain one or more hairs. There is no defined limit of the number of follicular units to extract, only one should avoid leaving scar. Then each follicular unit is grafted into another area that has lost hair, always trying to maintain a certain natural capillary density.

In 1936 the capillary graft was started in an elaborate way to achieve male baldness, but the techniques were not precise and the result was not the desired one. During the twentieth century different techniques were perfected, but until the 1990s, follicular grafts were not used, i.e. grafting hair follicles containing healthy hair. Initially 4 mm mini-grafts were used with poorly flattering results (“wrist hair”), but over time individual follicles were extracted to produce micrograft’s with optimal results.

Hair removal techniques:

“The first part will consist of removing the hair from an area respected by alopecia, usually the nape so you will be placed slightly face down. The ideal zone to extract follicles will be selected and it will be shaved with an electric machine leaving a minimum length of 1 millimeter. Once the nape area is anesthetized with a fine needle, you will notice a slight stinging for a few seconds”.

After anesthesia, there are two ways to extract the follicles:

FUSS (Follicular Unit Strip Surgery) Technique: involves taking a strip of skin from the scalp with all your hair. With this technique hundreds of hair follicles are achieved at once and there is no left area left. The scar is not visible unless you decide to shave your head in the future. After extracting the strip, a team of professionals divide the follicles one by one and divide them according to the number of hairs they contain (1, 2, 3, et cetera).

FUE technique (Follicular Unit Extraction): consists of extracting hair follicles from the neck one by one with a very precise millimeter instrument.

Yoram Yasur Blume doctor expert in this procedure:

“The technique is more laborious than the strip and does not leave scars if the maximum of follicles that can be taken out is respected. It leaves a broad area shaved at the nape that will take a few days to grow back”.

Robotic technique: consists of a FUE technique assisted by a robot that allows the extraction of the follicular units in a faster way.

Once the follicles are removed and divided according to the number of hairs they contain, they will be implanted in alopecia. The follicles with more hairs, 3 or 4, will be placed in the area where more hair density is desired, the follicles with 2 hairs in the transition zone and the follicles with a single hair are placed in the hairline Line of implementation).

To implant them will be used a tumescent anesthesia, this is to inject a large volume of liquid under the scalp and thus make millimetric incisions that are distended and leave the passage to the follicles that are placed delicately with a millimeter twee-zers one by one. The work is very laborious and takes up most of the procedure.

Results of hair transplantation

The implanted hair will fall off, but the follicle persists so it will grow like normal hair and you will see initial results at six months. The new hair will be fine, but little by little it will acquire thickness until 10-12 months later (to the year of the trans-plant) the definitive results will be able to be verified.
New hair does not require any special treatment, it comes from a donor area that would not suffer from alopecia so it will never fall off.

However, it is highly recommended a follow up by a dermatologist with experience in hair care because if the alopecia progresses the aesthetic result can be very bad.
For a complete natural result the hair transplant must be continued from a continuous medical treatment. There are also com-plementary therapies that intensify hair growth: infiltration of platelets, infiltration of antiandrogens, and so on.

6 ways to prevent dry skin once and for all using the advices Yoram Yasur gave to you.

Yoram Yasur Blume: 6 ways to prevent dry skin once and for all

Yoram Yasur Blume | It was time to think about my dry skin and me. I am tired of seeing myself in the mirror and noticing that the wrinkles are not as small as before. But I still have not completely lost the hope of solving this problem and also I want to share with you everything I know, I want to teach you some ways to relieve dry skin from today and forever:

1. Take quick showers of warm water:

To take care of your skin, it is best to avoid taking very long baths and with the water too hot or too cold, as they cause the skin to lose its natural oils and this causes dryness. It is best to stay under water for only 10 minutes and leave immediately.

2. Hydrate your skin after you shower:

“For moisturizing creams to penetrate better the superficial layer of the dermis it is necessary to use them after showering, when the pores are still open enough”. One factor that you should pay attention to is the amount of cream that you apply, because if Is too much, this excess can cause your skin to change from dry to greasy over time and this will lead to the appearance of acne.

3. If you shave, don’t use soap:

In Yoram Yasur Blume Experiences:

“Shaving the skin without using soap or cream is a quick way to irritate it and to incite the appearance of blackheads, blackheads and granites. Ideally moisturize the skin and then apply the shaving cream or gel to finally begin with shaving”.

4. Do not expose yourself to the sun:

Always leave your home with sunscreen, it does not matter that it is cloudy or it is cold and much more in the summer! UV rays are very harmful to the skin and promote premature dryness and wrinkles. And do not forget your lips!

5. Take care of your body:

The beauty and health of your skin also comes from within. That’s why you have to be aware that stress can be one of the causes of dryness. In fact, it is known that dry and flaky skin can be the response of our body to chronic stress. So a tip I can give you and that will serve you a lot is that you fight it with regular exercises and a lot of music.

6. Wear gloves in winter:

The hands are the ones who suffer the most from the cold weather and dry very quickly. To prevent this from happening to you, always wear gloves in cold weather.

They are not very difficult to adopt (except for physical activity). But believe me they are very effective.

Piercing after care Yoram Yasur has written an article about it.

yoram yasur piercing-care

Yoram Yasur Blume: Piercing after care

Yoram Yasur Blume | If you have decided to wear a piercing, these tips on the precautions you should take while doing this. And the care you need during healing, will allow you to wear it without damaging your skin, and avoid complications.

Many of the complications that appear after putting on a piercing are related to the hygiene of the area where the piercing is. That is why it is essential to carry out a proper daily cleaning until the hole has completely healed. Otherwise, the least that can happen is that the wound becomes infected and in the end, it is necessary to remove the ornament.

The necessary care for your piercing is very similar regardless of the part of the body where it is located, except in the mouth, where different measures are necessary because of the conditions in which it is. These basic tips will help you take care of your piercing:

  • In the case of body piercing and facial piercing, the following steps should be followed twice a day to provide you with adequate hygiene:
  • Caring for your piercing begins by washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water before touching it.
  • Then the skin around the piercing should be moistened, for example with a swab, to soften crusts that have formed and remove them effortlessly. In this sense, try not to squeeze or pull them out when they are dry, because this way you can infect the hole.
  • Then you must thoroughly wash the perforation with neutral soap and then rinse the area with plenty of water.
  • Once you have removed all the soap, spray the piercing with physiological serum making sure that it enters the hole.
  • Finally, dry the skin carefully by helping with a sterile gauze or a swab. Do not use your hands, neither towels nor cotton, because they can make it easier for the wound to become infected.

“Oral piercings, on the other hand, need another type of care due to the area in which they are. It basically consists of cleaning the mouth several times a day with a non-alcoholic antibacterial rinse, especially after each meal”. To do this, dilute the solution you use in a little water and rinse for at least half a minute. This should be accompanied by a brushing of the teeth, at least three times a day.

Yoram Yasur Blume Point of view:

“It is very important to follow a constant care. During the whole process of piercing healing. Whose duration will vary according to the area of the body where you are”.

The period can range from about six weeks that takes the lobe of the ear. The eyebrow, or the nose, until the more than four months that prolongs. In the case of the navel. Ask the professional to put the ornament. On for how long you should clean the hole, but do not be impatient. Since a few days of hygiene can be a few more months of complications.

What you should avoid during piercing healing:

In addition to maintaining proper hygiene, you should avoid certain behaviors while the piercing is healing:

  • Do not wear tight clothing or accessories that rub the piercing or even tear it.
  • Do not remove the original piercing until it heals. If for any reason, you have no choice but to do so. Try to have a spare, of a non-metallic material. So that the hole is not closed.
  • If you have the earring in your mouth do not smoke. Drink alcohol, mastic chewing gum, eat spicy foods, acid or salty, or drink hot drinks.
  • Do not apply alcohol or hydrogen peroxide over the perforation because it can delay healing.
  • Try not to manipulate or remove the original piercing while the wound is closing.
  • Do not spread makeup or creams over the hole.
  • Immersion baths in the pool or spa are discarded.

yoram yasur liposuction

Yoram Yasur Blume: What is liposuction?

Yoram Yasur Blume | Removing excess body fat or unwanted adipose tissue from the surface areas of the body by suction.

This popular type of aesthetic intervention removes unwanted deposits of fat from the following areas of the body: chin, neck, cheeks, upper arms, upper breasts, abdomen, buttocks, hips, thighs, knees, calves, and ankles.

This operation should not be conceived as a solution to obesity, nor as a substitute for diet and exercise. The best candidates for this intervention are people with relatively normal weight but who have clusters of excess fat in specific areas.

“The goal of liposuction is to give a new contour to the body with minimal scarring. The results will be per-manent whenever the person carries out a healthy life, eat in moderation and exercise regularly. The most common is that if the patient gains weight after the operation, it is distributed evenly”.

Liposuction is not recommended if you have recently undergone surgery in the same area, if you have poor circulation in that area or a heart murmur. It is important to know that this surgery will not improve cellulite, dimpled and uneven appearance of the skin on hips, thighs, and buttocks.

Process

For this operation, a liposuction machine, and special instruments, called cannulas, are used, through which the fat released by different types of liposuction techniques is aspirated.

The operation begins with the application of general or local anes-thesia in the area to be treated. Once the anesthesia is done, a small incision is made in the skin and a suction tube is inserted into the fat deposits, sweeping through the area where the extraction is to be performed.

The released fat is extracted through a suction tube. Yoram Yasur Blume: “Depending on the extent of the area to be treated, several punctures may be performed. Finally, small drainage tubes are usually introduced into the already empty areas to remove blood and fluid that accumulate during the first few days after surgery”.

Techniques:

– Tumescent liposuction: The most common type of liposuction whose intervention is the most enduring. It consists of inject-ing medicated solution, a volume up to 3 times greater than the volume of fat to be extracted, which anesthetizes the area and helps to eliminate fat more easily.

– Superhumid technique: It is distinguished from tumescent liposuction in that the same amount of fluid is used as the fat to be extracted, the operation is shorter and sometimes it is necessary to perform general anesthesia on the patient.

– Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction (LAU): Technique that began to practice in the United States in 1996. Ultrasonic vibra-tions are used to liquefy the fat cells and once liquefied they are aspirated. This technique can be performed externally or internally and is often combined with the tumescent technique. In general, the operation is more durable than if the superhu-mid technique is used.

YORAM YASUR TELLS YOU THE Advantages:

• Reduction of fat in the treated area including fat folds at the waist (“tires” or “helmets”).
• Also Improved sexual function by reducing abnormal fat deposits located. On the inner side of the thighs to allow easier access to the vagina.
• Molding of the body for annoying people.  With accumulations of fat or irregularities that cannot be eliminated with diet and / or exercise.

Risks:

• Shock: Exceptional, but can occur when not enough fluid is replaced during surgery.
• Liquid overload.
• Infections.
• Bleeding, blood clots.
• Appearance of small globules of fat in the bloodstream. That block the flow of blood to the tissues (fat embo-lism).
• Possibility of damage to nerves, skin, tissues, or organs, or burns due to heat or instruments used for liposuc-tion.
• Uneven fat removal.
• Skin depressions or contour problems.
• Drug reactions or overdose of lidocaine (local anesthetic) used in the procedure.
• Scarring or irregular, asymmetrical, or even “loose” skin, especially in the elderly.
